A Million Little Pictures: Documentary Hundreds of artists from all over the world documented their lives using a simple disposable camera. Thousands of photos were tiled across the gallery walls on display. Art without Borders Annemarie Rawlinson received Honorable Mention from Peter Frank. Comparing this second competition with the first in a recent interview, Frank remarked on the said there was "greater stylistic variety this time, greater competence and more imaginative, distinctive ways of working." Of Annemarie Rawlinson's work, Frank said, "...well, let's look at her Guitar. It's a funny, surprising, beautiful and very logical object. It seems like a big guitar giving birth to a little guitar, but it's more than that. We wonder, is it the soul, or is it just another aspect of the same guitar?" Rawlinson won Honorable Mention for her work The Congregation, exhibiting at the Summer Studios Arts Academy. |
