On a perfect day—clouded in the morning, sunny in the afternoon—volunteers gathered to create a 50-foot diameter sand mound labyrinth in the shape of a heart, especially designed for this event. "A Path for Peace," a collaboration between Peace Alliance, Geniuswork and Annemarie Rawlinson, labyrinth designer, drew over a hundred people and raised funds for Peace Alliance and its national grassroots campaign to establish a US Department of Peace and Nonviolence in Washington.
